WHERE QUALITY MEETS AFFORDABILITY

JEWELLERY CARE

Welcome to our jewellery care guide! Stainless steel is known for it’s durability and resistance to tarnish. However, to keep your pieces looking their best, it’s important to follow some basic care tips.

A few of our top tips…

LET'S KEEP IT CLEAN

It never hurts to give your jewellery a polish every few months. To deep clean your jewellery you need a jewellery cloth that has not been chemically treated. Alternatively, you can use a good quality microfiber cloth.
For your gold plated pieces, don’t use chemicals or jewellery cleaning agents, such as ‘dip’ polishes, simply stick to polishing them gently with your microfiber cloth.

Over time, your stainless steel pieces might develop small scratches. A professional jeweller can polish your pieces to restore their original shine.

Something to note: unfortunately, we don’t offer re-plating services, so following these care tips is crucial to keep your jewellery sparkling for years to come.

STORE IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT

Storing your jewellery in a clean and dry place is ideal, such as in a jewellery box or a fabric-lined case. This keeps it safe from scratches, sprays and tangles.

LIMIT THE EXPOSURE TO WATER

Although stainless steel is water resistant, it’s best to remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing or engaging in water sports to prevent potential decolouration.

AVOID EXPOSURE TO SOAPS, SPRAYS AND LOTIONS

Apply lotions, perfumes, and hairspray before putting on your jewellery. Make sure the product is completely dry before accessorising for the day.

HOW JEWELLERY CAN TARNISH

  • Submerging in water for long periods of time or repeatedly dampened.
  • Oxidising through prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
  • Exposure to toxins or chemicals released from the skin through sweat.
  • Exposure to soaps, perfumes, lotions and oils, chlorine and cleaning chemicals.
